Located in western Medellín along the mountainside above the San Javier Metro Station, is one of the city’s 16 communes: Comuna 13. Different from the others, Comuna 13 is unique in its history and special in its colors, people, and transformation.

Ah, Oaxaca! Oaxaca is the capital city of the state of Oaxaca and my favorite region in the country. I have to admit, I don’t like picking favorites because each destination that I visit has something special, but let’s just say Oaxaca is extra special. When I travel, the most important factors are food, culture, people and landscape. Oaxaca checks them all.

I love a good mercado/market! So I promise you that it won’t be the last time that I speak about one. As a matter of fact, I’ll make it my duty to tell you how fab or, not-so-fab, the markets are where I visit. Markets are essential and I’ve changed my habits from visiting them during my international travels.
